Looking at GitLab Duo?
Meet the agent that finishes the merge request.
If what you want from AI in GitLab is issues turned into merge requests, Nightsquire is built for exactly that. It implements the issue, runs your tests and pipeline, scans and reviews the change, and only then hands it to your team, ready to approve.
An issue-to-merge-request agent, done thoroughly.
Built for one job
Nightsquire takes an issue and returns a merge request that has been through your tests, your pipeline, two scanners and a separate security review, with fix rounds in between. Your reviewers start from work that already passes.
Separate from your GitLab plan
Nightsquire is its own service, from an Irish business. Your GitLab tier and your GitLab contract stay as they are, Free included, with no credits to buy from GitLab.
Every part of a run in the EU
With Nightsquire AI and managed executors, your code, the model and our control panel all run on European clouds, under Irish law and the GDPR. Or run the executors on your own hosts.
The model you want
Nightsquire AI needs no setup. Or bring a Claude API key, or point it at OpenAI, Mistral, Azure OpenAI, OpenRouter, or your own model on vLLM or Ollama, and see the tokens and cost of every run.
Tested, scanned and reviewed, every time.
Every merge request says plainly what ran, what passed and what is left. The bot never merges: that stays your call.
- Your tests and linters pass before anything is pushed.
- Your GitLab pipeline runs, and a red one gets fixed on the same branch.
- GitLab's Semgrep and Gitleaks analyzers scan the pushed tree.
- A separate, read-only pass reviews the diff for security problems.
- Your team is added as reviewers, with a summary of what ran and what passed.
- Comment on the merge request and it makes the change and runs every check again.
An EU supplier for the whole run.
Nightsquire is an Irish business, hosted on netcup in Germany and Scaleway in France. With Nightsquire AI and managed executors, nothing about a run leaves the EU. Our data processing agreement is part of the terms.
What Duo users ask.
Can we use Nightsquire and GitLab Duo together?
Yes. Nightsquire works through a bot user, webhooks and the GitLab API, so it doesn't touch Duo's settings. You can keep Duo in the editor and give issues to Nightsquire.
Do we need GitLab Premium or Ultimate?
No. Nightsquire works on any GitLab tier, Free included, on gitlab.com or self-managed. On gitlab.com Free you give it a bot account of your own, because group access tokens need Premium there.
Does it work with self-managed GitLab?
Yes. Nightsquire creates its bot user on your instance with an admin token you paste once, and your team signs in with your own GitLab, on any tier.
Which models does Nightsquire use?
Nightsquire AI by default, which runs in the EU and needs no setup. Or your own Claude API key, or any OpenAI-compatible API, including a model you host yourself.
What does it cost?
